Alicia Polk, LPC

In my approach to therapy, I focus on meeting you where your need is greatest. That is, sometimes you might want to problem-solve or learn techniques or tools. Other times, you might want someone to hear you and validate your experiences. And sometimes, you might want to explore an issue and look for insights. I tend to favor cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) but what is most important is that I choose tools and techniques I believe are best suited to your needs, whether they are from CBT or some other type of therapy. I also like to focus on your strengths and how you can leverage those.

I specialize in treating insomnia and chronic pain (and chronic illness). I have experience working with ADHD, autism, and dissociative disorders. And I really enjoy working with people on boundaries, selfcare, and procrastination.
